Many may not have a good understanding of inversions. Often, inversions are perceived as advanced poses or even unachievable. However, with regular practice and uses the correct method, you, too, can master the “intimidating” poses someday! Today, we are gonna show you some of the inversions poses and their variations. Inversions can be super fun and it’s definitely worth a try!

The Challenger – Forearm Stand!

Require a great deal of your core, shoulder and arm strength, this inversion pose is called “Pincha Mayurasana”

Forearm Stands build up your shoulder, core, arms, and back strength, and stretches the chest and shoulder. This inversion energizes and vitalizes the body, enhances body balance and proprioception, and improves overall circulation.

The Royalty of Asana – Headstand!

Headstand with the support of arms and hands, often known as “Tripod Headstand”

Headstands are often considered as the “royalty” of asanas (poses).

Headstand pose builds up your core strength, strengthen and stretch your abdominal and leg muscles. It also helps to enhance concentration and mental awareness as the reversed position allows energy to flow to the ajna (third eye) area, which in turns offer mental clarity and renewed energy as well as increase memory and concentration over time.

With the support of the fingers, this pose is known as “Hasta Sirsasana”

The inverted pose returns blood to heart and brain, refreshes the lymphatic and cardiovascular systems. For anyone with headaches, mild congestion, fatigue, stress, constipation, and poor circulation, headstand pose is a good natural healer for those symptoms.

Without the support of arms or fingers, by freeing your arms on the floor, this pose is known as “Mukta Hasta Sirsasana”

Mukta Hasta Sirsasana is an inversion that displays strength, control and beauty. In Sanskrit, mukta means “liberated”, hasta means “hand”, sirsa means “head” and asana means “pose”.
